The Cold Is A Comin!

Yep, the cold air is about to arrive here in Atlanta, are you ready for it? I am and I ain't. Yes I said ain't. Its the southern in me, what can I say.

I am, for the fact that I love winter. Sitting with my girl on a cold winters night with a warm blanket and a hot beverage watching a classic winter movie. And if it snows, all the better. Getting friends and family together for holiday feast and conversation. As I get older it comes and goes much to quickly as does the rest of life. When it is here I immerse myself in all its splender and revel in its glory.

I ain't, because I dread the gas bills and the possible ice storms. :(

There always has to be a down side, but during this time of year for me the good always out weighs the bad. On a crisp clear night walk outside and look to the sky. Wish upon the bright shinning stars and be thankful for all you have. For tomorrow may never come.

I can NOT stand the damn cold and this year we have been spoiled, that makes it even worse.:-((
But do what we do......crank the heat down as far as you can take it,go to Walmart, invest into a couple 40 Dollar, electric, ociallating (spelling?) spaceheaters and put them in the rooms you use the most.:-)
Adds about 10 -20 bucks per month to the electric bill which is a hell lotta better then the bullshit prices they charge for gas!
Works like a charm.:)
But I am thinking you knew that one already.:-)

Yep, I am afraid we will be buying some heaters this weekend. Especally for the bathroom. Nothing I hate worse than stepping out of the shower into an ice cold room.:( Of course the same goes for getting out of bed too. Hey get this, the heater in our car doesn't work either. :( It would only cost 4 to 5 hundred dollars to get it fixed. Just damn.

Oh shit, that sucks!Evrything always breaks arround the damn holidays.:-((
Nothing you can fix yourself or maybe someone you know who does know stuff about cars??
There are these books, sepciafically for each car and brand....forgot the name......but they have pretty easy hands on instructions how to fix stuff yourself for WAY cheaper.
Haynes or something the books are called??

From a past experence with my sons Tbird which had the same problem it is not something that can be done on your own unless you know what you are doing. You see, it is the heater core that went out and the heater core is mounted up and behind the dashboard which means the dashboard has to come out of the car in order to get to it. Now if you have never removed a dashboard from a car before believe me you do not want to. It is 6 to 7 hour job which is the labor hours it takes to do it. As we all know the labor is what cost the most not the part. My mechanic charges 65 dollars an hour for labor so you can do the math.:(

Call arround and see whos the cheapest, thats all I can tell you.But then again..you know that anways.
In the meantime.......find other ways to make it hot and steamy in the car.hehehehe

Sitting in a cold car and having to drive isn't very fun. I hate being cold. I will ask ricky if he has any other options for ya. You never know. The holidays come and go so fast. =
