I have always kinda disliked Christmas shopping over the years. The crowds, rude people, all that money spent. Of course shopping on Chrismas Eve did not help anything either. This year was different for some reasion. We went last night and in a matter of 1.5 hours we were done. Wam-bam-thank you mame.
The crowds were there of course but we never encountered the rude people. Everyone was nice. Some even struck up a conversation. We found everything we were looking for and came in under budget. I even enjoyed myself for once. I am not sure it was Christmas spirit or just the fact that I was in a good mood. mabie in my old age I just looked at it differently. At any rate, all went well and I look forward to spending time this Christmas with family and new friends.
Just remember there is a reasion for the seasion.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!

Posted by: Ashley at December 22, 2005 10:52 AMOh I hate it as well. But what I hate even more is people who buy presents dthroughout the year and then on Christmas they do not fit or noone likes them and you can't exchange them anymore. But whats worse then exchanging after Christmas anyways!Hours of lines, ugly customer service, rude people....yuck.I am lucky each year because we never get anything (family has taken us adults off the list, accept for the cousin and mother but at least they know what we like).
The kids get so much crap from family that we never buy them more then a few stuffers from the Dollar Store or I order some little things online. No crowds,no people to deal with...fnatastic!But now.....I bought this heater and it sucks,so OF COURSE I have to exchange it and need to deal with the lines..yuck.As for the budget...yeah thats tight, but I must say,I got away with a bit over 100 bucks for about 10 people. Not bad I'd say. What sucks is that I forgot some people but now I am BROKE!LOL
But screw the presents...I like the getting together, thats what its about, not presents.:-)
As I reflect on this year,it was pretty good.Lost two dear old friends but gained some new ones.Overall this year was pretty good I'd say!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
