A year or so ago my wife was diagnosed with early signs of breast cancer. Surgery was performed to remove a small cancerous node that had formed in the breast. She was prescribed a drug called Tomoxifen which is to keep the cancer from coming back. This drug has to be taken for five years minimum to be effective. Today she received a clean bill of health from her breast doctor. He said her breast looked and felt fine. Of course I told her the same thing last night. LOL
I bet the doctor has fun feeling breast all day. Anyway I am very happy for her and the news just made my day. In all seriousness ladies, check your breast regularly because early detection is most importaint for this disease.

Posted by Eric Von Zipper at January 24, 2006 10:50 AM | TrackBackYou are so special! Remember that I read this stuff, HA HA! Too much info there pops! Anyways, I'm so happy that mom is doing good. It seems like she is always getting bad news! It's good to hear. Ricky's father is in the hospital though. He went in because he had chest pains and they told him he had to stay for further testing so he had to stay the night. But today they trasnfered him to St. Josephs hosp. but we are not sure what is going on. I hope he doesn't have to have surgery like mom. He had bad cholesterol too but he brought it down so I really don't know. Plus he's a smoker and a drinker so who knows! Anyways, glad to hear mom is doing well. It's about time!
