Johnny Walker Journey!

Saturday night Jim, Flor and I took a cool little journey through the world Of Johnny Walker scotch wiskey which was held at Americasmart in downtown Atlanta. After invitations were confirmed and IDs checked we ascended to the penthouse on the 15th floor where we were greeted by pretty girls, drinks and finger foods. Next we were directed into a large theater type room which had twelve large movie screens arranged with three on each side of the room in a large square configuration. The seating was also arranged in a square configuration three rows deep on each side so that everyone was facing each other. These were long white plush bench type seats with backs and long thin tables in front of each row.

On the tables in front of each person was a small placemat with three shot glasses, each with a different class of Johnny Walker scotch wiskey. Also there was a glass of ice water, a bowl of ice and a pitcher of water. There are five classes of Johnny Walker scotch wiskey. Black, Red, Gold, Green and the rare Blue lable. The presentation began with visuals on the large screens accompanied by some really cool music. The lights came up and a female Representative of Johnny Walker stood in the center of the room and began reciting the history of Johnny Walker scotch wiskey which lead to the first class of scotch wiskey " Johnny Walker Black". As she went through each class of wiskey she explaned the history and the process of making that particular class.
Of course we sampled each class until we came to the ever so rare Johnny Walker "Blue". Talk about smooth and tasty. If you have to ask how much it cost then you cannot afford it. It was a very enjoyable evening and we even stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe afterwards for drinks before heading home.

Thanks to Jim for the invites. We enjoyed the Journey very much.

Those damned marketing geniuses! Somehow I ended up buying a bottle of JW black. Possibly the first bottle ever - prior to the Journey I was a confirmed Pinch man.

I have been thinking the same thing Jim. I keep telling myself I need to buy some Johnny real soon. The Gold is expensive and the Blue is real expensive so I guess I will get Black and thats a fact.

Damn life was so much cheaper in Buffalo when we could just walk accross the border and get this stuff CHEAP in Canada.hehehe
