MRA / MRI!

Yesterday my wife had to go to the hospital for an MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography). This Procedure studies the blood vessels and the flow of fluids through the body. An MRI (Magnetic resonance Imaging) studies the tissues and organs without the need for x-rays. Neither I or my wife have ever had one of these test let alone seen the machine that performs it. Its huge and basically a big round magnet which the patient is slid into while laying down. If you are claustrophobic I can see why some people would be weary of it. An IV is inserted into the arm to allow a fluid to circulate through the system in order for the machine to get a better picture of the vascular system as fluids circulate through the body. Other than that it is a painless procedure requiring the patient to remain still for a certain period of time. The tech was telling me that some MRI's can take up to three hours depending on what portion of the body was being filmed/tested. My wifes only took about 20 minutes.

I made a comment to the tech that was one hell of a magnet and he replied "you have no idea". He told me that he has seen wheel chairs, filing cabinets and the like stuck to these machines and it took several men to pull them free. In some cases the object was so stuck they had to shut the machine down to free it. He also said that when the machine is restarted it takes about three days for it to build back up to full operating power. That is one hell of a magnet if I say so myself.

One word of caution, if you are afraid of what you may find wrong with your body do not have this procedure because it will find any and everything inside yourself.

Today Is The Day!

The Democratic socialist party will most likely gain control of the house and the senate today. Those of you who voted just to get back at Bush or the right will inevitably choke on that vote. You have sold your soul and your country out. Bend over and kiss the money in your wallet goodby as well as your freedoms and your countrys security. It has always been said to be careful what you wish for. Never has that statement been more true until now.

VOTERS WHO CAN'T COPE!

While we're talking about the war against Islamic fascism, and the myrmidons who don't seem to recognize that we're even at war, let's not forget the largest Democrat voting block out there. There are tens of millions of Americans who have refused to accept the responsibilities of adulthood. These are Americans who will profess their love of freedom, but when it comes time to face the responsibilities they take a quick powder.

These Americans are unwilling to accept the responsibility for developing their own job skills and finding a job. They run from the responsibility of educating their children. In fact, many of them don't even feel it is their responsibility to provide for the care of their own children when they're off at their jobs! These Americans feel that their health care is someone else's responsibility too --- either their employer or the government. And God forbid that they should ever be held responsible for planning and funding their own retirement.

Every day these Americans wake up with one primary thought in mind. What can the government do today to relieve me of the responsibility for taking care of my own life.

These people will vote Democrat. There is nothing that will change their minds. Making sure that government continues to play the role of Mommy and Daddy to these voters was their primary motivation the last time the voted, and it will be their primary motivation tomorrow.

Put them together with those who despise economic liberty, those who believe America is great because of its government, those who suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Compassion Syndrome and those who see peace at any price, and tomorrow shapes up to be a disaster for our liberties and our security.

Why in the hell do we let these people vote anyway?
